SB Intensive Outpatient

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at DecisionPoint is designed for people who are struggling with problems associated with addiction, substance use and abuse, and the co-occurring disorders associated with substance use. Eligibility for this level of care is determined by a FREE clinical assessment, which is conducted at our facility regardless of your decision to attend our program.

Our IOP program is based on (4) four (2) two-week tracks that run for a period of 8 (eight) weeks. However, every client is different, and we give our clients flexibility to complete their individualized program in 90 days or less. Clients have the option of attending IOP sessions in the morning or evening as well as having the freedom to choose either session on any given day.

Clients explore relevant issues alongside peers who share similar life situations and struggles. Our program tracks provide a supportive community of contemporaries facing related challenges in sobriety. Treatment occurs primarily through groups, but each client is assigned a primary counselor you will meet with on a weekly basis over the term of your program. Groups are small and generally do not exceed 10 people, allowing for a safe environment. Many different areas and topics are covered in the IOP. Everyone is introduced to the topics in our (4) four main tracks:

NEW! MINDFULNESS TRAINING

DecisionPoint Wellness is excited to be the EXCLUSIVE intensive outpatient provider of the Mindfulness for Addiction Recovery curriculum developed by the North Georgia Mindfulness Project.  This training is incorporated into our standard IOP program, and it is taught by the founders of the North Georgia Mindfulness Project, Dr. Patrick Delaney, PhD and Dr. Jessica Place, PhD.  You will learn how the power of mindfulness lies in its ability to support, complement, and functionalize different modalities of treatment for addiction used at DecisionPoint Wellness such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Relapse Prevention (RP).  Mindfulness training helps clients identify patterns of behavior which undermine their health and well-being by offering specific techniques that provide the clients with techniques that provide them with the strength to resist cravings at the most critical moments in early recovery.  The word "mindfulness" is used regularly by other providers as most teach clients how to sit still, take some cleansing breaths, and be aware of what's happening internally and externally in the moment. The problem is that the practice of "mindfulness" as it was originally used in the Buddhist literature goes well beyond promoting a convenient meditation technique or stress reduction practice. The real practice of mindfulness is a "way of life" and that is only taught at DecisionPoint Wellness.

PAY ONLY ONCE FOR IOP: If for any reason a client is referred to a higher level of care during treatment, the client returns to DP and completes IOP at no charge. Also, if a slip or relapse occurs after completing IOP, the client can access IOP or develop a new program at no charge.

INSURANCE: Currently we are out-of-network with insurance companies. Send us your insurance information by clicking here, and we will confirm your benefits prior to your in-office assessment.

WEEKEND IOP

DecisionPoint Wellness offers a variety of individualized treatment options for adults including a weekend program. The Weekend Intensive Outpatient Program (WIOP) is designed for people who are struggling with problems associated with addiction, substance use and abuse, and the co-occurring disorders associated with substance use. Eligibility for this level of care is determined by a FREE clinical assessment, which is conducted at our facility regardless of your decision to attend our program. This is a structured Intensive outpatient program that takes place on Saturday and Sunday, and it provides treatment choices that allow client’s to travel for work or go to school during the week yet have a structure of a program to support their recovery.  This intensive outpatient treatment program must be completed over 8 consecutive weeks.  Sessions are held from 1 pm to 5 pm on Saturday and 1 pm to 6 pm on Sunday. Clients explore relevant issues alongside peers who share similar life situations and struggles. Our program tracks provide a comprehensive and integrated program that addresses the challenges of sobriety. Over the course of treatment, clients learn about addiction education, relapse prevention, building a sober support network, and family education.  Treatment occurs primarily through groups, but each client is assigned a primary counselor.  The Weekend IOP program is less flexible than our standard IOP program, but it works well for individuals that travel all week long and don’t have time to be in treatment during the week.

Intensive
Outpatient
Program

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at DecisionPoint is designed for people who are struggling with problems associated with addictions, substance use and abuse, or the co-occurring disorders associated with substance use. Elgibility for this level of care is determined by a mandatory clinical and medical assessment, which is conducted at our facility as part of the admissions process. We are not your typical outpatient program. We treat our clients like family. Our approach is different because the current system of providing addiction treatment is failing. Most treatment centers are 12-step based, and the current system charges individuals over and over again for the same treatment if they relapse. DecisionPoint is not a 12-step based program, because we don’t believe in charging you for program you can get for free. There are many paths to recovery, but only one for you, and we will help you find the peer support group that works best for you. We believe that your treatment should reflect what you need to be successful in long-term recovery. We help you learn how to stay sober in the real world while living at home with your family, working, going to school, and taking care of your normal responsibilities. If you ever need treatment after completing our IOP program, you can return to DecisionPoint at no additional cost. Our one-time treatment fee is part of the DecisionPoint Difference.
